Salvation
Salvation
Who do you say I am?
The disciples were asked by Jesus, “Who do men say that I am?” After their responses were given, He asked them the most important question that all of humanity must answer, “Who do you say that I am?”
When Peter professed Him to be, “…the Christ, the son of the living God,” he demonstrated a personalized belief in his heart, and the confession of his mouth required for men to be justified and saved as recognized in Romans 10:10, “For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God (cleansed of all sin/unrighteousness), and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved (to an eternity in His presence).”
God has set salvation in the heart of man
Jesus praised Peter’s response to His questions as one not revealed to him by someone else (Earthly father, pastor, teacher), but by the Father Himself. In fact, Jesus was so impressed that He exclaimed, “Upon this personal revelation, I will build My church,” His Ekklesia (the called out ones). Salvation is in the heart of man, and the belief and confession of faith in Christ aligns us with the Father unto eternity.
Everyone lives an eternal life
Every person, from birth, lives an eternal life. Hill City’s mission of discipling hearts to the fullness of life in Christ is rooted in the revelation that eternal life begins on Earth and continues in Heaven. We recognize that true discipleship begins with the revelation of who Jesus is, its impact on freedom from our sinful nature while serving Him here on Earth, and the impact on an eternity spent with Him.
If you'd like to be saved, pray the prayer below:
"Dear God, I confess that you are real. You are my creator and I acknowledge who you are! I recognize I have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. I need your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died on the cross for my sins, and that He rose from the dead. I ask you to forgive me of my sins and to come into my life as my Lord and Savior. I give my life to you, and I ask for your guidance and strength to live for you from this day forward. Thank you for your love and mercy. In Jesus' name, Amen"
